Sunderland manager David Moyes says Nigerian forward Victor Anichebe is a doubt for Tuesday's Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Anichebe was replaced in the 37th minute in Sunderland's 2-0 home loss to Swansea on Saturday after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Aside from Anichebe, Moyes also revealed two other first team players might not feature due to injury.
“At the moment I wouldn’t think George Honeyman, Anichebe and Jason Denayer would feature so…" Moyes said in his pre-match press conference on Monday.
Despite being relegated, Moyes who expressed sadness over his team's 2-0 home loss to Swansea, said Sunderland will go to the Emirates and give their all against an Arsenal side that still has everything to play for.
He added: “After beating Hull we wanted to end the season well so there’s no doubt that Saturday’s result was disappointing.
“Every game counts as far as I’m concerned and you’re judged in every one, so we have to perform much better against Arsenal.
"It's a big game for Arsenal and that'll make it difficult for us, but they also have an FA Cup final to look forward to."
On the future of some first team players, Moyes said: “We’ve spoken to everyone at the club who has a situation with their contracts where it could be terminated or they could leave.
“They all know and they’re ongoing so it’s been passed over to Martin Bain (Sunderland's Chief Executive Officer) and they’ll speak with their agents and see where we go.”
