–Ideye, Emenike fire blanks; Onazi, Oboabona benched; Mikel missing in action
Odion Ighalo (Watford): Super Eagles and Watford striker Odion Ighalo extended his goal tally in the current English Championship season to 18 at the iPro Stadium when he struck a fine equalizer 15 minutes from time to deny Derby County maximum points as both teams settled for a 2-2 draw on Friday night.
Watford are now placed fourth on the Championship table with 73 points after 40 games, trailing third placed Norwich by a two-goal difference. It was his 29th Championship appearance for the Hornets.
Brown Ideye, Saido Berahino (West Brom): Nigerian striker Victor Anichebe made a scoring return for West Brom who crashed to a 4-1 defeat at home to QPR at the Hawthorns. Anichebe who spent the last eight weeks on the sidelines headed in a consolatory goal for the Baggies during a much-improved second half. His compatriot Brown Ideye who has scored seven goals in all competitions fired blanks.
Sammy Ameobi (Newcastle United): Nigerian winger, Sammy Ameobi played for 87 minutes in Newcastle United’s 1-0 Sunderland in the Tyne Wear derby. He was replaced by Adam Armstrong.
Sone Aluko (Hull City): Nigerian midfielder, Sone Aluko replaced Abel Hernandez in the 81st minute of Hull City’s 3-1 loss to Swansea City.
Hope Akpan, Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Reading): Nigerian international Hope Akpan partnered Nathan
Ake in midfield for Reading who drew 1-1 against Cardiff City. Akpan has made 19 appearances as against Yakubu’s five for Steve Clark’s side.
Kenneth Omeruo (Middlesbrough): Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo was not listed for Middlesbrough’s 1-0 loss to Wigan. He has made 17 Championship appearances.
John Mikel Obi (Chelsea); Victor Moses (Stoke City): The duo of John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses were both missing in action at Stamford Bridge when their respective teams clashed. While Moses was ruled out due to suspension, Mikel was not fully fit for the clash.
Michael Babatunde (Volyn): Nigerian winger Michael Babatunde played for 60 minutes in Volyn’s 2-1 loss at home to Zorya at the Avanhard stadium. The former Kryvbas star was replaced by Viktor Komchenko in what was his sixth game this year.
Lukman Haruna (Horvela); Sherif Isa (Olimpik Donetsk): Nigerian midfielder Lukman Haruna played his third game for Horvela in their 2-1 win against Olimpik Donetsk who paraded Isa Sherif for 84 minutes.
Vincent Enyeama (Lille): Vincent Enyeama was on for all 90 minutes as his French club Lille beat Reims 3-1 on Saturday. The win ensured Lille are in eighth place on the Ligue 1 table with 44 points from 31 matches. Enyeama has now conceded 27 goals in 31 Ligue 1 games this season keeping 13th clean sheet.
Ogenyi Onazi (Lazio): Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi was an unused substitute in Lazio’s 3-1 win against Cagliari. Onazi has made 14 Serie A appearances so far this term.
Joel Obi (Inter Milan): Super Eagles midfieldder Joel Obi watched from the bench as Inter Milan were forced to a 1-1 draw against relegation battlers Parma. He has played ten times for the Nerrazuri scoring once.
Nnamdi Oduamadi (Latina): Nigerian winger Nnamdi Oduamadi played all 90 miutes for Latina in their 3-2 win over Cittadella in what was his eighth appearance for Mark Iulliano’s side.
Ramon Azeez (Almeria); Kalu Uche (Levante): Super Eagles midfielder, Ramon Azeez returned to Almeria’s starting line-up for the first time since January in their 4-1 loss at home to Levante who paraded Kalu Uche for the last five minutes. Azeez has played 13 games in the La Liga.
Success Isaac (Granada): Flying Eagles forward Success Isaac was not listed for Granada who lost 9-1 to Real Madrid on Sunday. The former Flying Eagles forward has scored once in 16 La Liga games.
Isaac Promise (Balıkesirspor): Former Super Eagles forward Isaac Promise fired blanks in Balıkesirspor 3-1 loss at home to Mersin İdmanyurdu. It was his fifth appearance since joining the club on a free in January.
Emmanuel Emenike (Fenderbahce); Godfrey Oboabona (Rizespor): Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emenike replaced Alper Potuk in the 57th minute in Fenerbache’s their 5-1 win away at Caykur Rizespor in Turkey’s Super Lig. The encounter saw his compatriot Godfrey Oboabona
benched for the entire duration of the game. Oboabona has one goal in 15 games so far while
Emenike has score four goals in 22 games.
John Utaka (Sivasspor): Nigerian forward John Utaka played his 17th game of the Turkish season for Sivasspor in their 3-1 win over relegation threatened Eskişehirspor on Saturday.Utaka, 33, came in as a second half substitute for Hakan Arsla and less than 10 minutes after coming in, the Nigerian striker shot his side into the lead after Aatif Chahechouhe had first pulled Sivasspor level in the first minute of the second half.
Leon Balogun (Darmstadt 98): Nigerian defender Leon Balogun scored his fourth Bundesliga 2 goal of the season while in action for Darmstadt 98 in their 2-0 win over Bochum. The 26-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Bundesliga chasing team.
Anthony Ujah (FC Cologne): Nigerian forward Anthony Ujah played for 90 minutes in Cologne’s 1-0 loss at home to Freiburg. Ujah has scored eight Bundesliga goals this season for FC Cologne.
Abduljeleel Ajagun (Panathinaikos): Former Flying Eagles skipper Abduljeleel Ajagun was an unused substitute as Panathinaikos were held to a 2-2 draw by Asteras Tripolis. Ajagun has featured 22 times this season, scoring four goals.

The former Inter Milan player has 23 appearances this term. His Nigerian counterpart Sunday Abalo was on from the start before making way for Pedro Moreira on 65th minutes. Abalo has seen action five times in the current campaign.
Simeon Nwankwo (Gil Vicente): Nigerian attacker Simeon Nwankwo was on for 90 minutes but couldn’t help his side from losing 2-0 at home to Sporting Braga. Nwankwo who has scored seven goals, has featured 23 times for the Primera Liga side.
Michael Uchebo, Gabriel Reuben (Boavista): Nigerian players Michael Uchebo and Reuben Gabriel were both in action for their Portugese side Boavista in a 2-2 draw away to Penafiel. Gabriel saw action for 90 minutes and has 12 appearances under his belt. On his part, Uchebo was removed for Bobo in the 65th minute. He has scored four goals in 19 appearances.

Macaulay Chrisantus (AEK Athens): Former Nigeria youth international Macaulay Chrisantus was the hero of AEK Athens as he scored a brace in a 3-0 spanking of AOT Alimos in a Greek second division game. AEK Athens remain top of the league table with 65 points from 24 games.The former Sivasspor of Turkey forward opened the scoring for his side in the 10th minute and completed his brace in the 48th minute to give them a 2-0 lead. He has now scored three goals in the league.
Rabiu Ibrahim (Trencin): Former Nigeria youth international Rabiu Ibrahim was on target again for his Slovak club Trencin as they beat DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda 3-0. The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder hit the target for his team in the 50th minute to give them a 2-0 lead, thus scoring his second goal in the league.Trencin top the league table with 47 points from 23 games.
