Arsenal won their first home game of the season after defeating Stoke City 2-0 on Saturday.
Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 31st minute off an assist from Mezut Ozil.
In the second half, Arsene Wenger made some changes which saw the introduction of Mikel Arteta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud.
After spurning clear scoring opportunities, combined with great saves by Jack Butland, Arsenal finally put the game to bed following substitute Giroud’s headed goal with five minutes remaining.
Arsenal, who are five points off leaders Manchester City, will take on Chelsea next weekend at Stamford Bridge.
