By Johnny Edward: Nigerian defender, Chidozie Awaziem, will look forward to his third start in the French Ligue 1 in 2018 when his club, Nantes, face Olympique Maresille on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The 21 year old defender has missed his side’s last six Ligue 1 games.
The defender who is on a season loan deal from Portuguese side, FC Porto, was an unused substitute in Nante’s last two games and was left out of their previous four games.
Awaziem has made two league appearances for Nantes in 2018 with his last game against Toulouse which ended in a 1-1 draw on the 17th of January, 2018.
The two-cap Nigeria international has played 17 Ligue 1 games and scored a goal.
He will also hope to get a call-up to Super Eagles squad for the international friendlies against Poland and Serbia on March 23 in Warsaw and March 27 at the Hive Stadium, in London respectively.
