The Super Falcons of Nigeria completed the demolition job on the She-Amavubi of Rwanda as they posted a 8-0 win at the Ahmedu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Saturday, to complete a 12-1 aggregate win in their Africa Women Championship qualifier.
The Falcons, who won the first leg in Rwanda 4-1, had boasted that they Rwandans should prepare to ship more goals in the second leg, and they wasted no time in making a statement to that effect.
Blessing Edoho opened scoring after just 12 minutes and Asisat Oshoala scored the first of her two goals, when made it two on 21 minutes.
Three minutes later, Desire Oparanozie also scored the first of her hat-trick, and added the second seven minutes after to make it 4-0 with just 31 minutes played.
But the Falcons were not done yet, as Esther Sunday completed the 5-0 half time scoreline with four minutes left to play till half time.
Oparanozie completed her hat trick on 55 minutes to make it 6-0, before the Rwandans got a bit of organisation into their defence.
But their late resistance lasted only till the 82nd minute, when Oshoala scored her second of the day, to make it 7-0.
And it was left for Cecilia Nku to wrap it up with the eight goal of the day with a minute left to play.
