–Golden Eaglets Face Niger, Guinea, Zambia in U17 Group A

In the draws for the Africa Youth Championship conducted on Sunday in Cairo, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles were placed in Group A along with host country Senegal, Congo and Cote d’Ivoire, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
In group B, the quartet of Ghana, South Africa, Mali and Zambia will do battle.
The draw for the 11th Africa U17 Championship was also conducted on Sunday.
Hosts Niger will face Nigeria in the opening match of the U17 Championship which runs from 15 February to 1 March 2015.
According to cafonline.com, the junior Menas were placed in Group A along with Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets in the draw of the 11th edition of the biennial championship which held on Sunday, 21 December 2014 in Cairo, Egypt. Guinea and Zambia are the other teams in Group A.
CAF General Secretary, Hicham El Amrani conducted the draw and was assisted by CAF Executive Committee member, Mohamed Raouaroaua, who doubles as President of the Organising Committee of the African U-17 Championship.
West Africa neighbours Niger and Nigeria will slug it in the tournament opener on 15 February 2015 at the General Seyni Kountche Stadium in Niamey.
Guinea and Zambia will face-off in the other Group A match later in the day at the same venue.
Holders Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa, Mali and Cameroon make up Group B to be based at the Municipal Stadium also in Niamey.
