Azzez Urges ‘Wounded’ Sand Eagles To Focus On Beach Soccer AFCON

By Johnny Edward:

Super Sand Eagles forward, Abu Azeez wants his teammates to put behind them their 8-3 defeat to Switzerland in Sunday's 2016 Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Tournament at the Eko Atlantic City, and focus on the Lagos Beach Soccer AFCON, Completesportnigeria.com reports.

Azeez who was on target for the Audu Adamu side told Completesportsnigeria.com that they will be better prepared when the 2016 Lagos Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on Tuesday.

"The Switzerland side are the European beach soccer champions and they showed it, punishing us for our mistakes in defence," Azeez told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"That will not happen again as I'm confident we will not disappoint when we take on Egypt in our opening game."

Azeez who was on target in the defeat will be featuring in his fourth Beach Soccer Nations Cup.

Egypt, Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire have been drawn into Group A, while Ghana, Madagascar, Morocco, Libya and Senegal make up Group B.
