Babangida: Moses Will Wreck Sudan

–Ex-Eagles star Tijani Babangida happy with Stoke City player’s form

Former national team player, Tijani Babangida has expressed happiness with the current form of Stoke City forward Victor Moses, saying it is a big boost to the Super Eagles ahead of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

Moses who is on loan at Stoke has been in good form since moving to the club from Liverpool where he failed to impress and his performance has added to Stoke’s good form since the commencement of the new English Premier League season.

Speaking to Complete Sports yesterday, the ex-international who was bitter about the two matches the Super Eagles have played so far in the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, believes that Moses’ return to the fold will help Nigeria to beat Sudan in the home and away encounters.

“I said earlier that we have not started the qualifiers on a good note but when you look at what is happening to our players, you can see that they are gradually improving at their various clubs and I am sure that it will help the Super Eagles in the remaining matches”, says Babangida
“Moses for example is doing well for Stoke City and as a striker, I believe he has a lot to offer in the match against Sudan, there are other players like that doing well and if the players can give their best in the two matches we are going to play this month, I am sure that Nigeria will make it to Morocco.

The former Wigan star is one of the 24 players Coach Stephen Keshi has invited for the double header and he is expected to justify his inclusion in the team.

U have spoken well Babangida but it Is better for Keshi to stop this rebuilding process and get his acts together. We cannot continue to build, we need to have a team playing together often in order to give room for team work. Pls SOK think, u are still the best candidate at the moment cos we are still playing qualifiers now and if Keshi is sacked then we re as good as not qualifying for the nations cup. A word is enough for the wise.
