Volyn winger Michael Babatunde has revealed he will not leave the Avanhard when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The Nigeria international, 22, is reportedly linked with a switch to Russian Premier League giants FC Dynamo Moscow after an impressive performance at the World Cup with the Super Eagles.
“Honestly, I won’t leave in January,” Babatunde told Complete Sports.
“I don’t want to leave, though it is true that anything can happen but I am not leaving.
“You’re never sure you won’t be transferred but my injury worries are gone with 2014 and 2015 will bring the best out of me.
“In this line of work, you are never sure of anything. In my head, it’s clear that I am not leaving and I certainly don’t want to leave in January.”
Volyn are currently in sixth-place in the Ukraine League table with 20 points – 16 adrift leaders Dynamo Kiev and Babatunde believes his return can earn the team a place in the Europa League at the end of the season.
“We are doing well at the moment and I hopeful that my return to the team will help them finish in the top three.”
