Volyn winger Babatunde has admitted that Dynamo Kiev were far superior to his side after they crashed 4-1 in Monday night’s league game at the Donbass Arena.
The Nigeria international who came on at half time for Artem Sshabanov told Complete Sports after the defeat that it was a lesson to his side who dropped to seventh on the log.
“It was a tough game for us and we were outclassed but for me, I believe we will learn from the defeat ahead of our next game against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukrainian Cup on Saturday,” he told Complete Sports after the game.
Babatunde who is poised for a return to the national team for next month’s AFCON qualifiers against Sudan has tipped Eagles to pick the maximum points from both ties.
“That’s the only way out, to beat Sudan home and away,”
“I hope to get back to the team as I’m ready to make a return back after missing the last two games.
“It’s the biggest tournament in African and it won’t be funny if the Eagles miss out after winning it for the first time after a 19 year wait,”
