Volyn’s Nigerian international, Michael Babatunde won for himself the man- of the match award after posting a brilliant performance in his side’s 4-2 win over Lukman Haruna’s Hoverla Uzhhorod.
The Nigerian winger who is expected to be named in coach Stephen Keshi’s foreign-based squad for next month’s AFCON qualifiers doubled his side’s lead in the 23rd minute after Alexandre Kobakhize had opened scoring for the hosts.
Babatunde told Completesportsnigeria.com in a chat that he was delighted to score his first league goal of the season after being sidelined for several months.
“I’m happy with my performance and I pray next season will be better for me,” he began in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com
Babatunde however kept mum when asked if he will be leaving the club in the summer but admitted that he has received offers from some teams in Germany, France and Scotland.
“I don’t know what the future holds for me yet as I have one year left on my current deal, but my agent has been receiving offers,” he said.
He was replaced in the stoppage time of the encounter by Sergey Petrox.
