–Says Bafana Bafana defensive midfielder, Gcaba
Orlando Pirates’ versatile defensive player, Ayanda Gcaba, reckons that Shakes Mashaba’s Bafana Bafana are now primed to triumph over Nigeria when the two nations meet for their final 2015 CAF African Cup of Nations qualifier tomorrow at the Akwa Ibom international stadium in Uyo.
Bafana’s qualification this past Saturday against Sudan at the Moses Mabhida Stadium provides Mashaba’s men with the perfect platform to get one over the Super Eagles who have always been a fierce rival for the South Africans.
“I think it was a great win over Sudan; the guys just have to go to Nigeria to enjoy now,”
said Gcaba on the Pirates website.
“We are going to the finals next year; that is already guaranteed. I think Nigeria will be up for a great match from us.”
“Win or lose we have already qualified; Nigeria will have to run for the ball,” added the Bucs defender.
“I honestly think we put ourselves in a situation we now have control; it is for me the perfect time to face Nigeria as we have nothing to lose and we can play with our heads now and free.
“I would like to see us winning, but I know Nigeria will fight hard, but for us it is just a match we have no pressure and that is what excites me more about this match,” he concluded. which Barcelona won.
