By Adeboye Amosu: Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is thrilled to see his countryman, Anthony Ujah, rejoining him at German club FSV Mainz, and is eagerly looking forward to stepping out on the pitch with the forward again, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Mainz announced Ujah’s return to the club on Wednesday with the striker signing a three-and-half year deal.
“Oh boi!!! Welcome back in Mainz & to the #Bundesliga, looking forward to play with you again brother @ujah21 thanks for the early Christmas present @1FSVMainz05,” Balogun wrote on Twitter handle.
Ujah will be eligible to feature for Mainz during the second stanza of the season.
He first signed for Mainz in 2011 and also had stints with Cologne and Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga.
He joined Chinese club Liaoning Hongyun in 2016 and scored 10 goals in 39 outings for the club.
