Former Golden Eaglets star, Funsho Bamgboye is delighted to have finally made his debut for his Hungarian League club, Szombathelyi Haladas, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Bamgboye, a member of the Nigeria U-17 team that conquered the world at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015 linked up with the modest side during the January transfer window, but his debut was delayed over his club's failure to get him a work permit.
He however played his first game for Haladas, coming on as a second half substitute in the club's 2-0 defeat to Ujpest on Saturday.
"It was not the kind of start I wanted but all the same I'm happy to have finally played my first game for the club," Bamgboye told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We fought really hard to take something positive out of the game, but you know in football, things don't always work out the way you want it.
"Our focus is now on the next game and I hope we can get a good result in that one.
"I have settled down really well here, and I hope to help the team do well in subsequent games."
