Barcelona have confirmed receiving the full buyout clause for Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain, but the Spanish club are still reluctant to end the transfer soap opera.
A statement on Barcelona's official website on Thursday evening indicated that they are reporting PSG to UEFA for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
"On Thursday afternoon Neymar Jr's legal representatives visited in person the Club's offices and made the payment of 222 million euros in the player's name with regards to the unilateral termination of the contract that united both parties," Barcelona said in the terse statement.
"As such, the Club will pass on to UEFA the details of the above operation so that they can determine the disciplinary responsibilities that may arise from this case."
Earlier on Thursday, LaLiga had rejected the payment from PSG and Neymar's lawyers as the Spanish league body sought to protect on of its two biggest clubs.
