Egypt emerged the third best team at the 2016 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations after seeing off Morocco 4-1 in third place match on Sunday at the Eko Atlantic Beach Lagos, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
After a cagey affair in the early part in the first period, Egypt took the lead in the sixth minute through Elmoatazzbellah Samy.
Morocco went all out to level up but found the Egyptian defence difficult to break down.
And with two minutes left in the first period, Egypt doubled their lead with a strike from Moustafa Samir.
Five minutes into the second period Egypt went 3-0 up thanks to Hassane Mohamed.
Egypt struck again with one minutes left in the second period to go 4-0 up. Right at the restart, Morocco scored through Anas El Hadaoui to end the second period 4-1 in favour of Egypt.
In the final period Morocco poured forward to salvage something from the game but Egypt held firm to claim the bronze.
