Senegal have qualified for the semi-finals of the 2016 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations after defeating defending champions Madagascar 3-1 in their second Group B game Wednesday night at Eko Atlantic Beach Lagos, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
A hat-trick from Babacar Fall ensured Senegal became the first team to progress into the last four.
Fall was also named the Pepsi Man of the Match.
Madagascar will have to beat Morocco in a crucial match-day 3 game on Thursday to stand a chance of making it into the semi-finals of the tournament.
Senegal will face Libya in their last Group B game also on Thursday.
It was a dominant first period for Senegal who took a 2-0 lead through a brace from Fall in the fourth and eight minute.
The second period had a more resolute Madagascar side who pressed hard for a goal and were rewarded in the ninth minute through Francegal Toky.
Fall put daylight between the two teams by scoring his side's third goal in the ninth minute and also completed his hat-trick.
