By Johnny Edward: Nigerian born forward, Jerry Mbakogu is poised to dump his relegated Italian side, Carpi this summer after two European teams tabled a £2m bid for the 23 year old, Completesportsnigeria.
The 23-year old struggled to replicate his 15-goal season in Serie B which saw Carpi gain promotion last season, but has attracted interest from Russian side Krylia Sovetov Samara and Turkish Champions Besiktas, according to Italian daily, Tuttomercatoweb.
Recall that last season, Mbakogu lost two penalty kicks in Carpi's 3-1 loss at home to Lazio. They needed to beat Lazio and to overtake rivals Palermo, who were outside the relegation zone.
Mbakogu scored twice in 24 Serie A appearances .
