Athletics great Usain Bolt has joked about his next step when he draws the curtains on his storied career and has zeroed in on professional football with Manchester United.
The eight-time Olympic gold medallist is hoping manager Jose Mourinho hands him a contract at United after he hangs up his running spikes.
And the 30-year-old, whose decorated career on the track is set to come to an end after the World Championships in London, quipped that the United boss is simply making him sweat until transfer deadline day.
'Everyone knows I'm always talking about (playing) football, I'm waiting on a call from Mourinho,' Bolt said. 'I think he's waiting until the last day (of the transfer window).'
Bolt is a lifelong fan of United and has made no attempt to keep quiet his desire to walk out at the Theatre of Dreams — even suggesting in the past that the club should take him on trial.
