— Jerry Mbakogu could make a move in January
The fine form of Nigerian forward Jerry Mbakogu for Serie B side Capri has not gone unnoticed as according to reports, German Bundesliga side Borrussia Dortmund are eyeing a winter move for him.
The Lagos born forward has scored 9 times in 11 games for Capri that includes five in his last three games.
According to Calcionews24.com Borrussia Dortmund want Mbakogu as an alternative to Ciro Immobile, who has struggled for goals since joining from Torino in the summer.
The former Juve Stabia forward, who was on target on Tuesday for Capri in their 3-1 win over Ternana, is also said to be interesting a lot of Serie A teams.
His goals have helped Carpi move top of the Serie B table on 21 points after 11 games, the same as second place Bologna but with a better goal difference.
However, it is been speculated that Carpi would rather do business in the summer for their top scorer than in the winter.
Mbakogu joined Capri as a free agent on a five-year deal in the summer, after spending the last six months of last season on loan.
He has also had loan stints with Padova and originally uses to belong to Juve Stabia.
