By Adeboye Amosu: FC IfeanyiUbah head coach Ladan Bosso is hopeful his team will put an end to their poor away form in the Nigeria Professional Football League when they take on their hosts Rivers United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Anambra Warriors have struggled to impress on their travels this season and face a daunting task against their hosts who head into the game in fine form after edging out Kwara United 1-0 in Ilorin last Sunday.
The Nnewi club are yet to pick a point on the road this season and have also failed to register a goal in their last three away fixtures.
“All matches are big and we know the challenge ahead; we know that Rivers United parade a lot of experienced players and we are conscious of their form in recent times,” Bosso told Rivers United’s official website ahead of the game.
“We are also conscious of our form in recent times and we are trying to see what we can do.
“I believe that if things work well, we will go back (to Nnewi) with something.”
Ladan Bosso’s men occupy the 11th position in the table with 13 points and have won twice in their last five games, with one draw and two defeats.
