The much awaited All Africa Games officially get underway in Congo Brazzaville on Friday.
Organisers of the 11th All Africa Games were busy Thursday putting finishing touches to ensure a successful games.
At the 60,000 capacity Stade de I’Unite, Kintele, cultural dance groups, callisthenics groups amongst others were seen putting finishing touches to their rehearsals.
Security measures were put at high point to ensure an uninterrupted event.
Hosts, Congo, without a gold medal win since the start of the games hope to break the jinx this time out.
Congo Sports Minister, Lieon Alfred Opimba, insists the country will break its gold medal drought in the African Olympics this time around.
Nigeria, winners in 2003 in Abuja, ranks amongst the top contenders for the overall winners honours of the event.
