Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Chris Hughton, has been voted the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month award for February.
The Premier League announced Hughton as the winner on their official website on Friday.
Hughton finished ahead of Javi Gracia [Watford], Jurgen Klopp [Liverpool], Mauricio Pochettino [Tottenham Hotspur] and David Wagner [Huddersfield Town] to win the award.
Hughton led Brighton through an unbeaten month, securing 3-1 and 4-1 home victories over West Ham United and Swansea City respectively, alongside a 1-1 draw away at Stoke City.
Commenting on the award, Hughton said, “It’s a great achievement for the club and certainly for a group of players that have improved as the season has gone on.
“It’s confidence that’s built up through the season, and it’s a good period to have what is our best run of form. We’ve got momentum at the moment, and we also look like scoring goals.”
Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur and Kenyan star Victor Wanyama’s wonder strike against Liverpool in a 2-2 draw at Anfield, won February Goal of the Month award.
