The delegation of Buruj Sports Academy led by the Managing Director, Salaudeen Waheed, have jetted out of the country to fine-tune preparations for the academy's foreign contacts, transfers, operations and competitions for the new year.
According to the itinerary made available ahead of the trip, the first port of call will be Turkey where they are expected to hold talks with the officials of academy of Besiktas Football Club with a view to
solidifying existing relationship and possibly expand the frontiers of co-operation. Other modalities for exchange of technical ideas, facility development and players transfer will also be ratified.
"We want to use the opportunity of this trip to build new phase of operations as far as foreign contacts are concerned. We believe so much in professionalism and we have over the years built trust with our partners in Europe and other parts of the world," Waheed said.
"This will be our first trip this year. It will take us to Turkey and England because these are some of the major destinations where we want our organisation and players to explore their technical know-how so as
to secure a sound footballing and managerial culture."
Some of the competitions where the players of the academy will feature in this year include Manchester Super Cup, Dubai Super Cup, Welsh Super Cup, English Super Cup and Turkish Super Cup.
