Nigerian duo, Junior Ajayi and Anthony Okpotu, will hope to help their respective teams salvage their dwindling CAF Champions League fortunes when they take to the pitch in the today’s (Tuesday) matchday-three fixtures, Completesportsnigeri
Ajayi’s Al Ahly will be up against debutants, Township Rollers of Bostwana at the Borg El Arab Stadium in what will be the first official match for their new manager Patrice Cateron who recently replaced Hossam El-Badary.
The Red Devils are yet to record a win in Group A following a goalless draw against Esperance of Tunisia and a 2-0 defeat to Uganda’s Kampala City.
Anything short of three maximum points in this game may spell doom for the former champions who lost in the final to Wydad Casablanca of Morocco last year.
All eyes will also be on new signing, Okpotu, as he steps on the field for the first time for his new Moroccan club, Difaa Hassani d’el- Jadida (DHJ) in their away match against ES Setif of Algeria in a Group B encounter.
Okpotu only linked up with DHJ from Nigeria Professional Football League club, Lobi Stars last week.
DHJ sit in third position in the group after picking one point from their opening two games in Group B.
The modest side drew their first game against MC Alger of Algeria and went down to a 2-0 defeat to Congo Democratic Republic’s TP Mazembe on matchday-two.
