Michael Babatunde will make his third CAF Champions League appearance for Wyday Casablanca when they host Mamelodi Sundowns in Casablanca on Friday (today), reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Babatunde who has provided two assists in his first two games against Horoya on matchday-three and four believes Wyday Casablanca will have no room for error against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Wydad ousted former CAF champions league winners, Mamelodi Sundowns, winning 3-2 on penalties in the quarter-finals last year, with the Moroccan giants going all the way to lift the crown.
Babatunde believes Sundowns will be out to avenge the defeat.
“There’s all to play for in this game and I hope I can make the difference,” Babatunde told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We are determined to take any opportunity to move us forward to the next round.
“It’s more of a grudge game and we know what to do to get a win.”
Wyday Casablanca head into their penultimate Group C match against Mamelodi Sundowns, quite aware that they cannot afford to lose the tie despite leading the group with eight points from four games as The Tshwane giants look to give their hopes of progression a major boost with a good result.
Sundowns are in second position in Group C with five points.
Meanwhile, Wyday Casablanca new signing Gabriel Okechukwu will play no part in the encounter as he was not registered for the competition.
Okechukwu signed a lucrative four year deal on Wednesday. He joined the club fron Nigeria Professional Football League side, Akwa United.
