The captain of the team will be making his second appearance at the African Nations Championship in Morocco following his debut two years ago in Rwanda. He saved a penalty in the qualifier against Benin Republic which ensured the Home Eagles qualification for the competition. He has also become a regular in the main SuperEagles squad and can cement his World Cup spot with a solid outing in Morocco.

OLADELE AJIBOYE
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Plateau United
CHAN appearance: NONE
The second choice goalkeeper played a key role in his club Plateau United’s title-winning success in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season. He is surely a reliable back-up for Ezenwa.

THEOPHILUS AFELOKHAI

The former Kano Pillars goalie beat off strong competition from late invitee Suraj Ayeleso to make the list. He is the team’s third choice goalkeeper.

A quality defender who proved his quality at the NPFL invitational. Nweke is a good crosser of the ball and good at defending.

The midfield star has been likened to John Mikel Obi. The Akwa United star is an influential member of the team.

RABIU ALI
