By Adeboye Amosu: Nigerian midfielder, Chidiebere Nwakali’s debut appearance for Scottish club, Aberdeen, will be further delayed as he has been ruled out of Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup Fourth Round clash against St Mirren due to work permit issue, reports Completesportsnigeria. com (CSN).
Nwakali recently joined Aberdeen on loan from English Premier League club, Manchester City, but is yet to make his official debut for the club.
Aberdeen were hoping to secure the needed work permit in time for the clash against St Mirrem after Nwakali impressed in a friendly fixture against Locomotiv Tashkent in Dubai, but were unable to secure his Work Permit.
“Niall and Stevie are both back in training and in the squad for tomorrow. Chidi’s work permit is not yet through and will not be available,” Aberdeen manager, Derek Mclnnes stated during pre-match conference ahead of the game.
Chidiebere Nwakali, a 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner, joined Manchester City in 2015, but has not made his official appearance for the Citizens.
He has also spent time on loan with Malaga, Girona, IK Start and Sogndal.Unblock the FIFA World Cup with ExpressVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
