Wydad Casablanca forward Chisom Chikatara says the club is battle ready for Friday's CAF Champions League semifinal first leg fixture against Egyptian champions Zamalek, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Wydad will face their hosts at the Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria.
Josh Toshack's men head into the tie as favourites having topped their group with just one defeat in six matches, while their hosts struggled to make it to the last four, finishing second in their group.
However, despite their struggles in the group stages, Chikatara who scored in the Rouge et blancs last group game against Zambian outfit Zesco United is expecting a difficult game against the White Knights but is confident his side will scale through the hurdle.
"It's going to be tough facing Zamalek over two legs in the semifinal of the CAF Champions but we are not scared of them," the former Abia Warriors forward told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We have prepared so well for this game and I'm sure we will make it through to the final."
The Casablanca-based side are looking to win a second title after last lifting the trophy in 1992.
They last played in the final in 2011 where they lost 1-0 on aggregate to Tunisia's Esperance.
