Conte Eager For Man City Vs Chelsea, Guardiola Matchup

Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, has stated that the Blues' Saturday's English Premier League clash against Manchester City at the Etihad will be a true test to his team's title ambitions, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Chelsea have won seven straight EPL games since losing 3-0 to Arsenal.

They currently top the league table on 31 points, while City are third on 30 points.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Conte however pointed out that his team have to show that they evolved since the season kicked off.

"Tomorrow is a really tough game and a great test which will not be easy. It will test how solid we are," Conte remarked.

"Tomorrow we want to show how well we are working and we have changed since the start of the season."

Conte stated that his team will not sit back against City.

" My philosophy for my team is to go more direct towards goal, but there's more than one way."

On the opportunity of meeting Pep Guardiola for the first time as a manager, Conte said he was already relishing it.

He said: "I really enjoy playing big games but I have never faced Pep Guardiola before, a man I have great respect for.

" When we were players, I think I ran more than Guardiola but Guardiola did more with the ball."

And on the loss of Kevin De Bruyne to City and his possible line-up for the game, Conte said: "Kevin De Bruyne is a great player and it is a shame he plays for another team. I wish him well but after the game.

"I need to check the physical condition of one or two players tomorrow before deciding my line-up."
