Antonio Conte has promised Chelsea will go into Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates with the intention of taking all the three points.
Champions Chelsea will hope to avenge their Community Shield loss to Arsenal when they visit the Emirates.
The Blues are currently third in the league table on 45 points, 14 points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
“Any game against Arsenal is important. We want three points, just like Arsenal,” Conet said during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
Conte dismissed transfer talks linking Chelsea to Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, saying the club will decide whether they will make any new signing.
“It’s normal to have speculation at the beginning of the window, but that’s all it is. We are not trying to sign Giorgio Chiellini,” he added.
“The club has to take the best decision for the team. I am the coach and my main task is to work on the pitch with my players. If the club decides to ask me something about my team I try to give my opinion.”
And on the availability of David Luiz and the number of games Chelsea have played within a short period of time, Conte said: “David Luiz’s physical condition has improved a lot in the last couple of days. He could be in contention for the Norwich game.”
“I don’t like to complain but before the game against City, against Liverpool, against Watford, I complained about the fixtures. When there is a problem you have to try to solve it – give the same chances for all the clubs.”
