Croatia captain Luka Modric is prepared to give up all the titles he has won at club level to win the World Cup.
Modric will lead Croatia out in Sunday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup final against France in a bid to lift the World title for the first time in their history.
Croatia lost in the semi-finals to France two decades ago – at France ’98 World Cup, and Zlatko Dalic’s side will be eager to avenge the painful loss when they face France at the Luzhiniki Stadium.
“Nobody expected us to reach the final, but we aren’t going to stop now,” said the Croatia captain during his press conference on Friday.
Modric who is in contention for the Golden Ball award has also won three man of the match awards in Croatia’s six games played so far at the tournament.
“We will give our best to lift the trophy, this is a unique opportunity. I would exchange all the trophies in my career for this one. We are ready for France.”
