Dalung: Watch Out For Fully Prepared Super Eagles At World Cup

Dalung: Watch Out For Fully Prepared Super Eagles At World Cup

By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:

Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung has expressed strong optimism that Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, will be the revelation at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Dalung said the Eagles will prove doubters wrong again like they did in the African qualifiers when they qualified for the World Cup with a game to spare in a group that had Africa football power houses Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia.

“Nobody gave Nigeria a chance in the qualifiers, the thinking then was that we would be eliminated after two or three matches, that we were going nowhere but at the end of the day, Nigeria qualified with a match to spare,” Dalung said in Abuja.

“That feat suggested that Nigeria is a country to watch out for at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. We have even proved that in the three friendly games we played against countries like Poland and Argentina. Of course we won two including Argentina, that is a good moment for us.”

He said by the time the Super Eagles finish their preparations for the World Cup with the series of friendly matches arranged for them, the team will be too hot to contain, adding that Nigeria will be the revelation in Russia.

This is cheap talk coming from the Sports Minister.. Apologies!
Gernot Rohr will disappoint Nigeria and SE fans and very likely pick up his little stuff and rush back to his home Country.
His flop against South Africa in Uyo in Afcon qualifiers is still fresh in our minds.
This man hasn’t learnt from that encounter. We are heading to Russia to receive our biggest ever embarrassment in global football wit his selection.
He is sincerely wrong in his choice of baby players and now contemplates experimenting with our National interest.
    Disaster is cooking up again.
The tradition of Super Eagles to field quality & experienced backline has been overlooked. Quality suggestions were jettisoned.
Our goalkeeping options are the worst ever going to a WC event.
I can’t sit to watch my Nanny feed my child wit poison and defend her actions because I could hold her responsible should something terrible happens to the child.
In the same way, the Nff technical group are watching the Coach administering killer pills to the SE and saying nothing. This is game over..
Who says Rohr can kill the team, and not face the consequences of immediate sack & pay seizure?
It is so glaring that a major disaster is waiting to happen. Every sane Nigerian with good football knowledge has voiced this, and the rest of us are just sitting back praying and wishing that SE excels at the WC tournament.
    How, may I ask?
This is not afcon qualifiers. This is the mundial..”bests of the bests”.
A team without a top & proven goalkeeper, top quality full backs, top quality central strikers, and Rohr hopes to progress beyond the group stage?
It is an impossible proposal, a pipe dream.
Please, if you are into betting, don’t waste ur hard earned money on Nigeria.
    My Verdict!
Super Eagles will fail woefully with this selection, & are most likely to lose all three (3) group matches and heading home as first African team to be eliminated from WC 2018.
A tournament she could have won convincingly given the quality of players at our disposal & time to organize them.
I am super eagles number 1 fan. Truth is a bitter pill for the poorly informed..
Expecting anything beyond this would be asking for a miracle of the century.
    I don’t see a miracle happening.
The Minister is singing a tune he isn’t familiar with & might face difficulty trying to explain how a good soup turned sour.
    God save the team!

@Pablonija, why are you so negative? You seem to enjoy it. So sorry of I sound harsh, but you seem to expect the worst. Even of we had the best players in the World, there would ‘ve no guarantees that we will win the World Cup!

@Pablo9ja before I say anything I want to give you your fan position. You are enemy no1 of the Super Eagles and if you are changing your mind your fan number is 180,000,000th Super Eagles fan. Lasty. You are the only person I have read or listened to that is bitter with this squad list. You do not follow any football. You follow America football played with hands and face shield. Definitely you are not following Super Eagles. Maybe you are still under 18years old, meaning did you seek an adult consent before writing this uninformed bitterness? Everything you write is just the opposite of what is happening with the Super Eagles. Nigeria is on the right track. Now let me tell you what Nigerians want from the Super Eagles. We know they will not bring the trophy which is the opposite of what you alone want. Sorry, it is too late to convince players like Messi, Ronaldo, de Gea, Ramos, Modric, Ngolo Kante, Kroos, and others to come be Nigerians with €300k/week. What we want from the Super Eagles is
this: meet up to the previous record of qualifying from the group. We will sink or float with the Super Eagles. This means that even if they do not qualify from the group, we will welcome them back and try again. 16 teams will be heading home after the group stage and Nigeria is not too big not be in that category as we are not too small not to be in the last 16. Better teams have gone home after the group stage before. Italy and Holland will be watching us play this year. For now, we are happy with the performances of the Coach, the players and NFF. You owe us the real fans and hardened supporters and the coach an apology with your choice of words and unnecessary wailing which is not the true picture of what is happening with the Eagles. You must apologize or we will continue to remind you of it. Secondly, give us your list of the mature or PHD players you want Gernot Rohr to invite. Enyeama or Martin Obafemi, Uche or Emunike. Give us your list.

Super eagles coach needs a no 9 in addition to Igalo. Players like Cyril Dessers, Alhaji Gero who plays in the Swedish league, Simeon Nwankwo or Henry Onyekuru-returns-anderlect-ready-play, are even better than Igalo. Super eagles should drop Ahmed Musa for any of those players mentioned above. Super eagles needs kelechi Nwakali in addition to the mid field and should remove Joel Obi, Uche Agbo and Mikel Agu. Super Eagles needs Enyeama as the No 1 keeper. If Enyeama refuses to come back, then Ezenwa as no 1 goalie, Dele Alampasu and Francis Uzoho.
Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Ajiboye should be dropped from the squad. The above changes should be made, especially the No 9 shirt, midfield and goalie if possible. Nigeria vs Serbia revealed our weaknesses in these areas that needs changes. Without Mikel Obi the mid field was dead. Joel Obi had no business in the team in that match and in the mid field and therefore no justifiable reason to include him in the 30 man list. Junior Lokosa has been scoring and is the highest scorer in the Nigerian Professional League. I believe he was included because of pressure to include domestic players. The said Nigerian League is not a strong league at all. You cannot compare Nigerian league to the professional league in Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Spain or England. It easier to score 50 goals in a season in Nigeria than to score 10 goals in a season in the league of those countries mentioned. If a player from the domestic league is however very good and exceptional, the player should be invited to partake. But other good players mentioned above for the No 9 shirt who stays abroad should have been invited too.it is not too late for them to compete as well. They should be used for the friendlies so we can determine which of the regular qualifiers players should be dropped. The world cup is different from the African qualifiers and a place of only the best teams in the world. Gernot Rohr’s selection still needs changes before it can be a perfect list in accordance with the best players Nigeria can afford from all over the world. I wish Nigeria luck in the world cup 2018 but must say that our selection list needs to be reconsidered.

  • As the rock group called Europe sang, “it’s the final countdown!”.

For those approaching the tournament with high expectations and for those who have already written off the chances of the Super Eagles, we will have to wait and see ; I suppose.

For the doomsdayers, is it because they have genuine and legitimate concerns for what they see as: inadequate preparations; poorly selected squad; difficult group to navigate; pedigree of Nigeria’s coach, false expectations raised by the easy with which Nigeria qualified from the World Cup qualification group.

For enthusiasts, are they buoyed up by: what they see as perfect planning with grade ‘a’ friendly matches, a squad made up top quality Nigerian players playing in grade ‘a’ leagues, a quality coaching team at the helm of affairs, an NFF that appears to have learnt the lessons of the past and working hard for a good outcome.

Lastly, does the fact that you are either an Enthusiast or a Doomsdayer mean you care more, or less, for your team?

@Sports Minister(SM) you are welcome and thanks for all your comments on the Super Eagles. Please don’t mind the @Pablo9ja of a young boy or too old man. Please you are trying with your approval of fund so far for care of the WC executions. Things are going smoothly and we are watching. Well done. Having said that, there is still one serious issue that you have not heavily been involved and Nigerians especially Super Eagles’ fans want you to. It is this your friend Chris Giwa. What is his problem? Talk to him to forget his court case with NFF and Amaju Pinnick. He has been suspended by FIFA and so he has nothing to do with football until he finished serving his term. But what he is doing can spoil the WC party before, during or after the WC. We were panicky when those Supreme Court judges gave their judgement until it was clarified by NFF and we all breathe a sigh of relief or whatever. For you to last this long in this administration means that the big ogas at Abuja like what you are doing as SM or you are a very powerful power broker in this administration. I feel the later is the likely reason. So talk to Chris Giwa because we see that he does not care about your Ministry and what will happen to our WC enjoyment because he is heavily annoyed. Tell him that if he is even given the NFF President he will not be recognized by FIFA for 2 reasons 1) he is a suspended fellow and 2) FIFA frown at taking football matters to the regular court. They have their own court. So talk to him. Moreover, the young man he is against is doing really well with the running of football matter. So he has the good will of Nigerians especially those who are in the know about how the NFF was being run before he came on board. Tell him to try again after his suspension for “he who fights and run away can still fight another day.” Thanks a lot SM SOLOMON DALUNG.

@deo you think you are smart by hiding behind this Enthusiast and Doomsdayer analogy. There is no sitting on the fence here. Either you agree we are preparing well or not. Either you believe in the coach or not. Either you see the Super Eagles doing well or not. Either you agree we made a poor squad selection or the right selection. And you should be defend your views. You sound more like @Pablo9ja. The coach’s pedigree has never been in doubt. A
serious player and a top club and country coaching experience. You need a Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho rolled into one type of coach? You will be disappointed as no country has that type. Iceland coach is a dentist who is running his team with no coaching experience. The truth of the matter is that there are many who are either too young to know the difference between a national team and a Barcelona fc or too old to know that we are no more in the Emmanuel Okala, Christian Chukwu and Segun Odegbami era. We are watching and keenly following the Eagles.

  • Djeniko, cool down bro (Lol) ; you are a Super Eagles fan through and through.

I really like your passion, energy and enthusiasm. You do your best to make a compelling argument.

I think our darling Super Eagles will do well as I have every faith in the commitment of the NFF, coaching crew and the final 23 players to leave no stone in-turned in doing Nigeria proud in the world cup.

Having said that, there are some fans who silently or in public have forebodings and there appears to be a common theme in their arguments.

Some say coach Rohr has never coached a top African country prior to his assignment with Nigeria (and that he has been “lucky” thus far with us), some say friendlies against Serbia and Congo are not quality friendlies while others are simply dismayed that Dessers, Fernando Adi and the likes not in the squad. They believe that the provisional squad lacks necessary quality, depth and balance to take us far in the tournament.

We have waited 4 years and the world cup is just round the corner.

I expect an exciting outing from the Super Eagles and cautiously optimistic that we would equal and hopefully surpass Ghana and Cameroon’s quarter-finals achievements this time around.

  • @deo and the doomsayer pablo9ja pls kindly note that the coach can not invite all the players besides majority of participating countries released their final 23 man squad directly so that they can concentrate on the task at hand. The man try by sticking to the bulk of the players that qualified us for the competition. You don’t change a winning team most especially when you have about 2-3 weeks to prepare for world cup. Hopefully the Eagles will do well at the world cup and if it goes the other way no problem. It is not a do or die affair.

  • Chima E Samuels 6 months ago

Pablo was speaking without telling us the players he as a coach will pick… Nigeria can only use players who we have and this is not club where we buy international players. Even if we fail at world cup we try but with God anything is possible even though as a Nigerian we know it is hard provided with the hot oppositions on ground

  • Djeniko 6 months ago

OK @deo sorry I was a bit hard on you. I was wondering whether you have suddenly stopped being a Super Eagles ‘ fan. I knew you as one before this @Pablo9ja ranting. I got your point now. Maybe I was still foaming with @Pablo9ja for talking down the Super Eagles, the coach and Nigerians in general. Do you know that what we write here is being read by our players too? The NFF members and even the coaches read them. Who knows whether they also contribute to the debates under some alias? What we write can be encouraging or demoralizing to any player reading it. You know na. I don’t want any negative comments to have any negative effects on any one of the players. As Nigerians, we need to be careful with our comment about our players. Say negative things about our opponents and I may support you and something. This time is crucial and in our little way we can all contribute to the success of the WC adventures. No ‘Pull Me Down’ syndrome is allowed here in Nigeria.

    • Djeniko, no wahala bro. (lol).

As you can see, what I was trying to say initially was that Pablo is not alone in his way of thinking.

He may be dramatic and he may appear overly negative about it but there are quite a number of fans who have strong conviction that the Super Eagles are heading for a disastrous outing in Russia.

Well, I remain optimistic for the Super Eagles.

Like I said, we don’t have long to wait anymore.

  • Omo9ja 6 months ago

People don’t see what I’m seeing. It’s coming. Oh yeah, it’s coming again. Mark my words today. If we must doing well at this year world cup,

Agu and Akpeyi must be dropped from the list but I know this very well that both of them will make the final list why simpliy because they have godfathers behind them.

They will drop “Simy” and Lokosa will make the final list and Ighalo will be our top 9 which will backfired.

We can not rely on Ighalo as our top 9.
Since we don’t have other strikers in the list, Simy is the only top striker we have and if they use politics to take him out of the final list, the only thing I can say is this, I which Nigeria the best at this year world cup.

I’m not saying they should drop Ighalo but they must have a deadly striker in the squad because this is world cup which means opportunities doesn’t come your way to score twice if you missed one that is it but can Ighalo do without misfiring?

We failed to qualified for the last Afcon because we had no top strikers in the squad that played against Egypt in both legs. He Ighalo and other strikers failed Siasia and Nigeria.

Now, coach Rohr will rely on him and we will see it when he released his final list. That is the reason I said I’m scared about our final list.

I do not surprised that Sodiq did not make the list. He made a huge mistake in the Olympics game against Germany which will kicked against him for a long time if he doesn’t prove his worth again in friendly match the Eagles team B have on the 28 of this month. The match we should have won against Germany and play in the final but he was so selfish in the sense that he had a chance to score or to give the opportunity to Mikel to score but he wasted the golden opportunity and since then, he didn’t get a call from the national coaches anymore.

To cut the long story short, so far so good, the coach and his crew has done well. I can only pray for Mr. Rohr to select the right players in the final list.

Happy weekend my people. God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • John Cena 6 months ago

I think Pablo9ja is an agent and none of his players made the list, that’s why he’s coming hard on Gernot Rohr and NFF. It’s painful as he cannot mention any of the players he believed can lift the trophy for Nigeria. What a shame

    • Bomboy 6 months ago

@John Cena, u hit the nail on the head. I am almost sure he is an agent or a ‘god father’ to some players that were not included in the list. He must be one of those Pinnick was talking about when He said the coach was being pressured by some agents to include certain people in the team.

    • EU Man 6 months ago

Just to add up briefly, Pablo’s although sounded to hard but honestly speaking, there are issues with the list. No 9, goalie and even the mid field. If Mikel Obi is not there the mid field is dead. This was the problem with the Serbian match. Again, the attack was so bad as though there were no legs to penetrate the Serbian defence. Our keepers were both bad in that match. If Enyeama is not coming back, we can manage Ezenwa, no one else. Our coach have done well and I but I am still not convinced he has a free hands in the selection. Because he is not blind, he can see that we cannot rely on Igalo alone in the attack, we cannot rely on Mikel Obi alone in the mid field. I wonder why Gernot Rohr has not addressed those areas with better available players for the attack, such as Dessers, Alhaji Gero who plays in the Swedish league and Henry Onyekero. Thank God that Rohr invited Simeon Nwankwo. But why invite Junior Lokosa and not Dessers or Alhaji Giro or Onyekero? Nigerian league is very poor and less competitive. I remember watching the so called MFM once in Lagos. I did not know them at then. I thought it was a secondary school playing or a petty football club in Lagos. I was shocked to learn that it was MFM playing and was a professional league match. To give you an example of how poor is our professional league, you all remember that the best players were selected from various clubs of our professional league and taken abroad to play with other foreign clubs. They lost all their matches and beaten very well. Junior Lokosa needs to justify his call to the Super Eagles. I hope Rohr will feature him and Simeon Nwankwo for 90 minutes each. So we can know who is who. The aim of the friendly matches is mainly to try the new legs. We know Igalo and others already. As for Igalo being the top striker how many goals did he score during the qualifiers. Only one goal. Still you are Gernot Rohr wants to rely on him. Please people should pay good attention to this coach. He has already been giving excuses that we do not have Okocha, Kanu, Ikpeba in this team. He has also being saying that Nigeria Nigeria is the weakest team and underdog in the group. These are not words of confidence and encourage for success.

  • Go Eagles Go 6 months ago

@Omo9ja which one be your own. This Simy boy must likewise be your personal person o as you are brazenly saying without any fear that Akpeyi and Agu have godfathers projecting and protecting their interest. Name these godfathers (or mothers). If you cannot name them, just die the matter. We have 7 guys to be dropped from the list. Another person will like you will come and campaign for his interest by claiming that Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi have godfathers and so will not be dropped for his person. Wetin sef. See, just leave the matter like you are reasoning. The coaching crew know who and who will make the 23 squadlist and it will be based on the need of the entire team. Trust Gernot Rohr and Amaju Pinnick. Who want to mess up. Nobody. If your man is needed for the overall good of the team, he will be there. Bet me. If your man mess up he will not be picked. As I said 7 guys will be dropped and it will be in all departments – goalkeeping dept, defence dept, midfield dept, attackers dept. Start praying and calculating. Na wa for Naija. We can suspect!!!

It is so unfortunate that the reactions from some commentators here today say much about their background. They forsook the real issues raised and instead lunched a tirade of insults on my personality.
I was thorough and direct in my criticism because I wanted the best, i believe Super Eagles can still be rescued. The quality are still much around, may be three or four players would turn it in Nigeria’s favour.
If some of u were Argentines you would have called for the summary execution of Gabriel Batistuta & Diego Maradona for heavily criticizing Jorge Sampaoli’s selection and tactics.
It is a justification for ur idiocy.
U guys made it difficult for others to share honest opinions because a few of you are victims of self-inflicted delusions. Others still are un-educated & think they know it all.
Nigeria can improve but as it stands, we bungled it.
Quote me after the preliminary rounds.
    I remain super eagle’s no. 1 fan.

After the group stage, we will all be laughing at you by the grace of God. You are praying that the Super Eagles will fail so that you will ve proved right. What a shame, Mr, Educated man from good background.

  • Pablo9ja, in order to avert this catastrophy that you so vividly prophesy, what are your recommendations?

Are these collection of players that hopeless in your eyes?

Has the coach set out to make a fool of Nigeria and himself?

Has Amaju Pinnick done all this hard work so that we can be the laughing stock of Africa in the world cup?

Is there a conspiracy somewhere to ensure that Nigeria performs badly at the World Cup?

Yes, the coach is not perfect, the players are not perfect, but who and what is?

From your position on this matter, would you be watching Super Eagles matches at the World Cup?

Constructive criticism is one thing; downright negativity (and prophesying doom) is quite another.

  • We should be grateful & appreciate what we have for goodness sake!
Coach G.R. is doing well with this crop of super eagles. Imagine a team wining four matches, drew two & loosed none in a ‘group of death’. They where the Ist African team to qualify with a match to spare. The first time we qualifying without doing calculations. If Zambia was in another group , they would have qualified but we won them home & away.
If I could remember, Nigeria played south Africa without about four or more of our key players.
Against Argentina, people were predicting wide margin deficit against the super eagles. After the eagles won (4-2), people were saying because Messi didn’t play.
Against Poland, thank God lewandoski played. we all saw how it went.
How many goals have the Super Eagles conceded compared to those we think have better Gkprs??
Let’s give it to this team for once!
As for the players invited & to be drop, those saying the coach didn’t select the best; who & who are better than those in the list? many of those names you are calling have been invited & somehow didn’t fit in. Time is to short to try out many new players. Rhor knew Ighalo need backup that was why he invited two new players to slug it out & one of them will be joining other forwards we already know about.
They must not win all the matches. all we need is better outing. Football is game not a do or die affair & anything can happen.
God bless Nigeria; Up super eagles!!!

  • @pablo9ja raised an issue on poor team selection & how this can affect the overall performance expectations of Nigeria at the event if certain steps were ignored. This is constructive criticism at its best. He even presented himself as Eagle’s no.1 fan.
    It is his opinion.
I am surprised that rather than attack the issue dispassionately, some commentators were busy castigating and insulting him.
Haba, who is childish, stupid and unreasonable?
Coach Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Amunike, Samson Siasia, Ezeguzo, etc, all vociferous 1994 squad members have equally spoken up critically against the probable outcome from this unfortunate selection as presented.
Are we saying ppl don’t have good reasons to point out perceived flaws on this selection list?
Does speaking against noticed flaws makes one an enemy of Nigeria and the Super eagles? Is Samson Siasia also an enemy of eagles? Dan Amokichi & Emmanuel Amunike too are all enemies of Nigeria for criticizing the list?
If some of ur arguements should be followed, then the likes of Argentine legend, Gabriel Batistuta, Diego Maradona and the nedia are Argentina’s worst enemies for criticizing Coach Jorge Sampaoli for poor selection and match tactics.
If you were Argentines you would have called for their execution as also pointed out by @pablo.
Where is ur education? Somebody is standing logic on its head here.
The true enemies of Nigeria and the Super Eagles are those without the true knowledge of what is happening to our football but are quick to condemn others’ opinions because their education is in question. Quick to attack those whose views they can’t comprehend because they themselves are small thinkers, myopic, naive & parochial.
I don’t know @PABLO9JA but this man deserves my respect for boldly expressing his opinion publicly without fears of being criticized by enemies of truth and progress.
Nigeria needs people who are fearless as @Pablo9ja, Dan Amokachi, Samson Siasia, Amunike, et al to guide public discuss.
These are rare gems in a dark and hypocritical polity as ours. I respect them.
Rather than vilify them, we should celebrate them and borrow a leaf from their approach to matters of National interests.
We are in this ugly era of political imbroglio because majority of Nigerians easily chicken out from standing with truth, can’t speak up, rather enjoy hypocrisy or directly promote mediocrity.
Attack the issues not the man. This is how to push public debate and gain others respect.
I will always support excellent & frank talk, whether or not I totally agree with the position expressed.
    I celebrate you, my bro..
Thnx for making my day @pablo9ja.

@TJ, Pablo9ja stated in his initial comment dat the tradition of fielding quality and experience defenders have been overlooked, may I ask him to mention the particular World Cup event dat Nigeria went with the quality and experience defenders and the outcome at the end of the tournament. Did we win the World Cup or even qualify for the quarter finals? I believe it is normal to criticize a coach’s selection of players but if u are saying some players can win us the World Cup and yet u can’t mention the players, do you call such a fellow a fan or an enemy? At least Samson Siasia still mentioned 3 players he believed can help the team so why can’t Pablo do same by mentioning his players. I also believe that to get a different result, u must do things differently so going out of tradition for the first time seems to me that we are getting it right and we are also on the right track . As for your comment @TJ, lips are sealed

Pablo9ja, the impressions l take away from your opinions you expressed in your first article and your reactions to the responses in your second article were embarrassing to say the least. You seemed to condemned the Nigeria Gov’t Minister, the NFF, the National Couch, and the Players. Yet, you did not offer any alternative opinion as to what to do to solve the circumstance you presented. You disqualified all those who reacted to your negative presentation as ‘uneducated’ in your second article. Negativity attracts equal negativity. Pablo9ja, if you had offered the readers a better and superiors alternative arguments in your presentations, no one would have condemned your opinions the way everybody did. l may add to those as well.
My impression of your essay is, you are from ‘Giwa’ fashion. You are attempting to sabotage and denigrate the noble NFF efforts to bring out the best they can present for our Nation in the circumstances currently prevailing. You gonna stop that or else.

“We are heading to Russia to receive our biggest ever embarrassment in global football with this selection.”

“Super Eagles will fail woefully with this selection and are most likely to lose all 3 group matches and heading home as the first African team to be eliminated from World Cup 2018.”
“A tournament (Nigeria) would have won convincingly given the quality of players at our disposal and time to organize them. ” The above are extracts from @Pablo9ja’s essay. After reading it, one of my friend text me asking “what was this guy sniffing?” My reply? ‘Powdered Codeine supplied by Emzor pharmaceutical.” People are annoyed with @Pablo9ja and then a certain @Tj has the effrontery to come here to defend this poorly informed article of @Pablo9ja.” The whole article smells of someone who is not following football especially Super Eagles. All the comments by Dan Amokachi, Emmanuel Amunike and Samson Siasia have all been commented on positively on this forum because they are not even critical but suggestions on bettering the team if certain players were invited. @Tj blundered classically here. @Tj so you agree with @Pablo9ja that these invited players are “baby players? “So you also agree that the Super Eagles would have won the WC “convincely” with some unnamed but non existing players? I think @Tj is even more poorly informed about Super Eagles than @Pablo9ja. If you guys are smart, stop justifying your statements for they make you look comical.

  • Both of the them have lost touch with reality by making unnecessary comments about a well balanced list. The last time I checked it is not the names that matters most in football rather the team spirits. The last Italian team that won the world cup nobody gave them a chance and they beat the best of the best in that competition enroute to winning the cup. So, please if your not comfortable with the list you may do well by keeping quiet instead of your unnecessary criticism that will not change anything. Hopefully the Eagles will do well in the competition.
