‘Derby Genius’ Klopp Leads Liverpool To Merseyside War Vs Everton Wihout Sturbridge, Henderson

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out skipper Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge in Saturday's Merseyside derby in the Premier League at Anfield, but he's unruffled as he describes himself as a derby genius.

The former Dortmund boss however revealed that Philippe Countinho and Roberto Firmino should be available for the big clash after helping Brazil confirm their place at next year's FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Liverpool are currently fourth in the league table on 56 points, while Everton are seventh on 50 points.

A win for Liverpool will see them go joint second with Tottenham Hotspur.

"He (Sturridge) has no chance. He was on the pitch with the rehab coach," Klopp said in his press conference on Friday.

"Jordan suffered a little setback and he is not in team training until now.
When we were here last time I said I hoped he could be in training this week. But we have to wait for this.

"They (Coutinho, Firmino) are OK for this weekend. We will see how fresh they are. The club did everything to bring them back as soon as possible.

"They had the most comfortable trip they could have had. They had success [with Brazil], both looked good. Very important for us."

Klopp praised Everton for their transfer business which has brought improvement for them this season.

"Everton made good transfers. Now they are probably close to where they want to be. It’s important for both teams."

And on expectation from Liverpool fans and his thoughts about the Merseyside derby, Klopp said:"In the stadium it’s still our ground. I’d really love to show this fact. Be aggressive, but not too aggressive and fight for everything to try to make our supporters happy."

"Maybe I’m a genius at understanding derbies. I didn’t need a second to realise how important this fixture is.
It’s this moment when the world around us stops for 90 minutes. That’s good. We love to think football is the most important thing."Sturbridge, Henderson from  Derby
