Dominic Iorfa: The Fast Rising Nigerian Football Sensation

Dominic Iorfa: The Fast Rising Nigerian Football Sensation

Dominic Iorfa, is a tall imposing, versatile (he plays right back for Ipswitch but played center back for Wolverhampton Wonderers) 20-year-old whose gangly long stride and slightly uncoordinated gait do not mask his abilities as an athletic full back, he has pace to combat the speed of any winger.

Although some consider him tall for a full back (6ft 2in), Iorfa can turn quickly enough to cover when needed.

I like that when his team switch the ball left to right he is advanced and anticipating a pass from a midfielder. In his own half, he has the attributes to be a solid defender.

Related: Cardiff City host Wolves this Friday 6th April which will see the Bluebirds fighting for Premier League promotion, K8 sports betting website who are the betting partner of Cardiff City are offering odds of 7/5 for Wolves to win.

His height makes him valuable at set pieces and he knows the importance of getting distance on his headed clearances.

A Southend boy, he graduated into the Wolves first team two seasons ago and was seen close up by Roy Hodgson at an England training session.

The 22-year-old has made 93 appearances for Wolves since his debut in December 2014, having come through the youth system at Molineux.

Iorfa was also in Aidy Boothroyd’s England squad at the recent European Under-21 Championships.

His old man was tall as a street lamp post, and fast too..! Let’s wait and see, but I don’t like the idea of Complete Sports already describing him as a ‘Sensation’ He has not achieved anything yet..But I wish him future luck..

  • Lol complete sports this guy is no sensation, wen Nigeria wanted him he choose England he didn’t want to play for Nigeria’s u23,his father supported him saying he wanted him to continue with England, now that he has lost his place in wolves first team and England not calling him u guys are now advertising him.he is not in wolves dis season he is out on loan at Ipswich town,xo complete sport he isn’t a sensation he is just an average player who Nigeria don’t need.

Serves him right. Even his father who played for Super Eagles supported him to turn his back on his country despite seeing what England did to his predecessors.

Those foreign countries they preferred more than Nigeria is beginning to snub them and now they are all trying to entice Nigeria for a call up . Dominic Iorfa and his colleagues that rejected Nigeria have now seen it all .Waiting for that of Tammy Abraham someday soon .The rejected stone is now the Chief Corner Stone . Keeping expecting Dominic,England will call you . Even his father spoke evil about Nigeria .
