Atlanta ‘96 Dream Team goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph says he’s in doubt of Super Eagles qualification for the 2015 AFCON in Morocco following last week ‘s goalless draw with Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The former Julius Berger of Lagos and Reggina of Italy first choice keeper who was not happy with the result says it has put the Super Eagles in a difficult position on the group A ladder, stressing that they must now win their remaining games starting with their double header against Sudan next month.
“The important thing is that we got a draw which I believe wasn’t a good one too but one point against six and four puts the team in very tight situation which requires we must work hard to win all our remaining four games including the one against Sudan away.
”No matter how you look at it, it’s going to be tough, it’s unfortunate we find ourselves in such a tight situation,” Dosu said.
The Super Eagles are current holders of the trophy following a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso in the final last year in South Africa.
But the team now stands the risk of not defending the cup next year in Morocco as a result of slow start to the qualifiers, losing 2-3 to Red Devils of Congo in Calabar last week and playing out a scoreless draw with South Africa last Wednesday.
