Former Kaduna United coach, Ben Duamlong, has predicted a promising future for Super Eagles new boy Henry Onyekuru, and has backed him to be a success at Belgian side RSC Anderlecht, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Onyekuru was recently signed by English Premier League side Everton from Belgian side KAS Eupen for 6.8m euros before going out on loan to Anderlecht for the 2017/2018 season.
"Going by how Onyekuru performed last season, he looks like a player that could cut it in big leagues in Europe," Duamlong told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"I quite agree that Everton could have kept him especially as Romelu Lukaku seems likely to join Manchester United.
"It depends on the variables. If he's up to what the club wants at the moment, they could be planning on using him later
"I didn't have that kind of situation where a striker wanted to leave but an incoming player didn't play for a reason," Duamlong told Completesportsnigeria.com.
Onyekuru scored 12 goals in 28 league games in the regular season in the Belgian Jupiler last season.
