By Sulaiman Alao:
Super Eagles preparation for today’s crucial AFCON qualifier against host Sudan suffered a setback as the Nigerian team could not train on Friday.
The Eagles who had earlier arrived North African country on early hours yesterday were lodged at the Grand Holiday Villa Hotel which is a five-minute drive away from the 35,000-capacity Khartoum Stadium venue of today’s game.
The Nigerian team which were scheduled to train yesterday evening were unable to do so as the sythetic pitch at the stadium was waterlogged following a heavy downpour.
Complete Sports Saturday’s source inside the Nigerian camp however reveals that the Eagles will be sporting an all-white jersey in today’s crucial tie scheduled to kick-off by6pm Nigerian time.
Nigeria need an outright win over Sudan to revive their chances of qualifying for the AFCON next year after picking just one point in their first two matches against Congo Brazaville and South Africa.
Sudan are without any point after losing their first two games also to South Africa and Congo Brazaville.
