Nigeria's opponents in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers, Tanzaniaon will confront the Cranes of Uganda on SaturdY, July 4, in the return leg of their CAF Orange 2016 African Nations Championship qualifying match, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Taifa Stars lost the first leg 3-0 at home in Zanzibar two weeks ago.
Though an equally important Championship for African-based players, the Tanzanians are hoping to use the CHAN qualifier as good preparation for the Nations Cup qualifying clash against Stephen Keshi's team on the weekend of September 4-6, 2015.
Saturday's game according to the Ugandan Football Federation will be played at the Nakivubo Stadium, at 4pm local time.
Meanwhile, Ugandan national team coach, Mutin 'Micho' Dredojevic is conducting a camping exercise that also includes the country's U23 players who will face Egypt on July 18 2015 in the last round of qualifiers to the CAF U23 Championship in Senegal which serves as the qualifiers to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games football event.
Egypt have missed out of the African Cup of Nations in recent years and a number of their outstanding U23 players could find themselves facing Nigeria in their 2017 AFCON qualifying battle in Kaduna in March 2016.
