–Team to depart Abuja Nov 12

The Super Eagles camp for the November 14 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo will open in Abuja on November 9 and the team will leave for Port Noire on Thursday November 12 on a chartered flight.
General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation,Musa Amadu who disclosed this Tuesday in Abuja said the earlier plan to camp in Warri has been changed to Abuja for logistic reasons stressing that they will train at the astro turf pitch of the FIFA Goal Project at the Abuja National stadium complex.
He said the team will return to Nigeria a day after the game in Congo and will go straight to Uyo to prepare for the match with South Africa on November I8 at the ultra modern Akwa Ibom stadium.
Musa also expressed delight over the recall of Spain based Ikechukwu Uche to the Super Eagles adding that his inclusion of will give the coaches options in the attack and hopes the player will fulfil Nigerians expectations.
“I am very positive that the Super Eagles will win their remaining two games and qualify for the AFCON tournament in Morocco. The Eagles will get it right after a bad start. It is unthinkable that Nigeria will not be represented in the gathering of the big soccer playing nations in Africa come next January in Morocco.
“We at the federation know the task ahead is tough but with the determination of the players and our support, the Eagles will definitely be in Morocco. It is a difficult task but we shall make it by the grace of God” he stated.
