On-loan Aberdeen midfielder, Chidebere Nwakali, will arrive at the Super Eagles B camp in Abuja on Sunday ahead of their friendly against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Nwakali’s initial flight from Scotland was delayed due to the poor weather conditions, the player revealed to CSN.
“I’ll be in camp on Sunday morning just before the team departs for Uyo,” Nwakali told CSN.
The Manchester City player also revealed he was a bit shocked at being left out of the provisional squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup but vows to prove himself against the newly crowned UEFA Europa League champions, Atletico Madrid.
“Football comes with some disappointing decisions but I will be in camp to prove myself to the coach that I deserve a place in the main team,” the former Nigeria junior international told CSN.
Meanwhile, his younger brother Kelechi has arrived in camp.
The Super Eagles B team are currently camped at the Bolton White Apartments in Abuja and will depart for Uyo on Sunday evening.
