AS Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile is confident his side can end their two-year winless streak at home to Lille who visit the Stade Louis II on Friday.
Monaco began their 2015/16 Ligue 1 season on a winning note defeating OGC Nice 2-1, their fourth in a row at the Allianz Riviera, but have failed to defeat Lille with both games ending in a 1-1 draw.
But Echiejile is banking on the quality addition to the side to maintain their winning form.
“Since I arrived two seasons ago we haven’t defeated Lille at home no thanks to my brother Vincent Enyeama who has been brilliant in those encounters,” Echiejile told completesportsnigeria.com.
Echiejile who is in the squad for tomorrow’s game also noted that he is fully focused despite the preference for Layvin Kurzawa for the left-back role.
