AS Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile is satisfied with his side's hard-fought 1-1 draw against Azerbaijani champions Qarabağ in Thursday's UEFA Europa league game.
The Nigerian international who played the last 12 minutes of the keenly contested match however thanked his club's supporters for the long trip to Baku for the encounter.
Echiejile replaced injured Lacina Traore for his second appearance in the competition this season.
He tweeted via his Twitter handle @EldersonEch: "Went all out to get a win but only got a draw. Thanks for the supporters that came. I can imagine the journey.#AllezMonaco #EuropaLeague."
Samuel Armenteros gave Qarabag the lead in the 39th minute but The Les Rogue had substitute Ivan Cavaliero to thank as he earned them a share of the spoils to claim a point in Group J draw that keeps them two points ahead of the Azerbaijani champions.
Next games for Monaco is a home fixture against Anderlecht at the Louis Stadium on the 26th of November.
