Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile has revealed that he will be out for a few weeks as a result of an hamstring injury he sustained in training, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
“I picked up a hamstring in training on Tuesday and I will be out for a couple of weeks,” Echiejile told his official website www.elderson3.com.
This season, the 27-year-old Echiejile has made 12 appearances in Ligue 1 for Monaco, who are now second on the table behind PSG with 32 points from 19 matches.
Echiejile also predicted in his chat with Completesportsnigeria.com that the Home based Eagles will surpass their previous feat in the African Nations Cup in Rwanda.
"They have a good team and I'm confident they can surpass their previous feat in the competition," Echiejile atated.
