Nigeria left-back Elderson Echiejile has promised an improved performance from AS Monaco next season.
Monaco finished third in the final standings in the Ligue 1 table behind winners PSG and second-placed Lyon.
They will go through the qualifiers of the UEFA Champions League for a place in the group stage.
Reflecting on the French football season that ended on Saturday, Echiejile thanked Monaco fans for sticking with the team through good and bad times.
“We cannot but thank God for how the season turned out. It might not have gone the way we wanted but I say thank you lord,” Echiejile wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
“To every fan who supported us through, stayed with us in the draws, wins and defeats, we appreciate and say thank you.
“Our aim is always to win for you, even when it did not go that way, you stood by us. We appreciate.
“We assure you all that the coming season will be better as we are very aware of the challenges ahead and will not disappoint you guys.
“Once again I say thank you for your. Endless support.”
