Super Eagles left-back, Elderson Echiejile has tweeted of the team’s ‘comfortable stay’ in Cape Town ahead of Wednesday’s crunch 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The Eagles left for the South African city on Saturday after their disappointing and shocking 3-2 defeat to Congo at the UJ Eusene Stadium, Calabar.
“Just settled into the hotel in Cape Town, SA. Putting the last game behind and focusing on Wednesday game,” the AS Monaco defender tweeted.
Echiejile and his fellow defenders were abject in their performance against the Congo side who only reached the last stages of the AFCON qualifiers after Rwanda were eliminated for fielding an ineligible player in their fixture against the Claude Le Roy’s team.
Nigeria are able to play in Wednesday’s game after the country avoided a FIFA ban on Monday as a faction leader of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chris Giwa refrained from showing up at the NFF Glass House which FIFA warned against or Nigeria could be banned from international football.
