EFL: Ikeme’s Wolves Host Middlesbrough In Season Opener August 5

Carl Ikeme's Wolverhampton Wanderers will begin their 2017-18 English Football League Championship season at home on Saturday, 5 Augustagainst Middlesbrough who were demoted from the Premier League, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Nigerian goalkeeper who has returned to training after recovering from an hamstring injury is expected to be fully fit for the match.

Sone Aluko's Fulham will host Norwich City in the opening day of the English Football League Championship, while Hope Akpan and Reading will travel to the Loftus Road Stadium to face Queens Park Rangers.

Relegated Hull City begin their 2017-18 English Football League Championship season away against former manager Steve Bruce's Aston Villa side on Saturday, 5 August.

Sunderland, who finished below the Tigers and Middlesbrough at the bottom of the Premier League, start at home against Derby on Friday, 4 August.
