Chisom Egbuchulam is currently holding talks with officials of Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Enugu Rangers, over a new contract, and South- East rivals, FC Ifeanyiubah ready are to pounce should both parties failed to reach an agreement, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Egbuchulam who scored 16 goals as the Flying Antelopes ended their 32 year wait for a league title last season, is back at the club after planned move to either of Tunisian clubs; Etoile du Sahel and Club Africain collapsed.
"Chisom, along with his representative, are negotiating a new deal with Rangers officials,'' a reliable source close to the player hinted Completesportsnigeria.com.
" He is really keen on continuing at the club, but both parties are yet to agree on the duration of the contract.
"That is the only stumbling block for now, and they (Rangers) need to act fast as FC Ifeanyiubah are closely monitoring the situation and are looking to snatch the player from them."
Rangers will host Niger Tornadoes today (today) in a matchday-five clash at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu.
