–Dolphins manager rues loss at Wolves
Dolphins Manager, Stanley Eguma has lashed out at his players following Wednesday’s 3-1 defeat by Warri Wolves, saying his wards lost concentration.
“We played much better than Warri Wolves, we controlled the game and had more ball possesion but my players lost concentration hence the 3-1 defeat”, Eguma lamented.
Gbolahan Salami converted a penalty in 27 minutes while Ike ThankGod guided the ball in for Woles second goal before Emem Eduok scored for Dolphins in 67 minutes while Salami completed his double on the night with the second strike in 76 minutes to condemn Dolphins to their 8th defeat of the season.
“They scored their first goal through penalty. The second was kind of a gift because my defenders failed to clear on time.
“It was quite unlike us but we’ve to move ahead”.
Eguma shifted attention to week 29 fixture against Nasarawa United and posited that hard work is key to grabbing the maximum points.
“We are not far away from the top four. Enyimba, Pillars and Nasarawa United lost their games so there’s not much changes at the top.
“We’ll need to go back home, work hard and ensure that we picked the three points, it won’t come easy because Nasarawa United is a strong side.
“Like I said, we’ll have to continue fighting untill the end hoping that at the end of the day we will be able to achieve our aim”, Eguma said.
