Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy has been voted the Budweiser Man of the Match of Friday’s 2018 World Cup Group A clash against Uruguay at the Ekeratinburg Arena.
Uruguay left it late to defeat Egypt 1-0.
El-Shenawy made four outstanding saves in the encounter despite being beaten by an 89th minute header by Jose Jimenez.
TEl-Shenawy is expected to keep his place in Egypt’s starting line-up when they face hosts and group leaders Russia (who massacred Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the opening game on Thursday) at the Saint Petersburg stadium on Tuesday.
Egypt are currently third in Group A behind Russia and Uruguay.
